Big news hits us once again as it is time to get the show and the road and start giving you all some wicked previews of what is to come!

That’s right, we’ve already uploaded some of the work and it’s right here on DA. Don’t worry, we know you didn’t get any notices as of yet, and that is because we’re moving accounts from here to YamabushiJBS



The reason why we are doing this is because since this project has officially reached a level of originality that has nothing to do with Naruto or Kishimoto’s setting, we opted that it would be very strange to claim to be an original work yet still work with a Deviantart profile named “Naruverse.”

We know that it is a little bit of a hustle for everyone to move and change the watch from this account to the other, but we promise you that it is worthwhile. Not only will you get to see the last chosen 10 main protagonists during the entire story, but you will get daily updates from today till the day we go online, probably with the exception of Christmas day

Hello there boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen.

It has been a while since yours truly left you a message here, and for good reason too! Unfortunately, for the past few months, from September, through late November, I have been quick sick, and couldn't work on the project as hard as I have been in the past.

During that time, I was forced to take a very well deserved break, but only a few weeks into December, and I find myself one again swarmed with Yamabushi Work.

While all of you have been thinking about how the project died away into the nothing, Whisper and I have been working our butts off to get as much stuff done as possible, and the list you are about to hear about is going to leave you with your mouths open.

First off, Volume 01 I officially scripted. 200 pages of the comic, which involve chapter 1 to 4, are ready to be sketched, inked and colored. The story, I must say, is turning out brilliantly. Very breathe taking and captivating at the same time.

A promised, in these first 4 chapters, each of which are 40 pages long, also include, besides our original Yamabushi cast, characters which YOU have submitted to us!!! That's right!!! Your submitted characters are still in our thoughts, so much so, that we even decided to bump a few of those which had a "low star rating" up a few notches, just for the sake of making you all very happy! So you better keep your eyes peeled, cause you might miss your own character in the pages to come.

Also something which will knock your socks off, is our website! Yamabushi, coming January, will be launching it's own Web Page, which is already about 60% or so complete!

On this page you will find everything and anything you might want to know about the Yamabushi world. In fact, we have decided to upload the pages to the website itself once a week, so you can follow the progress and follow our story as it unfolds, instead of having to wait for the book to the published!!! Isn't that great?!

We'll also be having a forums section, were we can all interact, as well as a store, were you can buy T Shirts, Posters, Stickers and so on, were all the proceeds will go into making this project bigger and better then ever!

If that didn't leave you all !!! I don't know what will!!!

Hello Loyal Fans! ^^

This is just a quick update for you all.

All three winners of the contest have been notified and congratulated, just waiting on address from two so I can send out the prizes!

When the prizes have been completed, I will compile them into a single image and upload it to the clubs Scrapbook folder, so you can all see what the prizewinners recieved ^^

It can now be revealed that the entire Chapter 01 has been written by Gilles and I am soon to begin initial sketches and layouts in preparation for working on the actual pages! ^^

In other good news, character sketches and posters will soon be uploaded for your perusal and Gilles and I have begun working on a world book - all about the world of Yamabushi and its inhabitants!

Once this is complete it will be availbe for you to buy and will contain information on the world-setting, the characters, the people, the races, the histories and many illustrations provided by myself.

There has been talk of one or two other projects involving the Yamabushi - but I will leave those for another Newsletter, once we've settled them properly ^^

We know you have all been waiting for this for an awfully long time, so I thought we'd get you off your tenter-hooks! ^^

The original Fanart Contest took place in June 2008, and there were a number of categories for submissions to be made too.

Now, the reason we've taken so long to get around to this, is because there were only 12 submissions in total! An average of two submissions per category was not something we could realistically continue with.

However! What we have done is remove the categories and judge all entries together. We decided to have two winners - Judge's Choice and People's Choice.

Now, the prize's are as follows:
